What to Expect from Our MHFA Training

With over 25 years of combined experience, SoCal MindEd delivers engaging, high-quality Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainings across Southern California. Our team is committed to creating an environment where every participant feels supported, empowered, and inspired.

At the start of each class, we set expectations by introducing three core ground rules:

“The Vegas Rule”
What’s shared in class stays in class. We prioritize confidentiality to create a safe space where students feel comfortable sharing personal experiences.

Participation Encouraged
This is an interactive course—featuring discussions, role-plays, group activities, and hands-on learning. We encourage involvement while always respecting each person’s comfort level.

Have FUN!
Let’s face it—eight hours can be a long time. Our trainers cultivate a lively, supportive environment that makes the day feel energizing, not exhausting.

At the conclusion of training, every participant receives:

  • A 3-year MHFA certification

  • A 200+ page MHFA manual

  • A curated list of localized mental health and community resources
